Ground Beef with Spring Onions & Green Beans
Monday's are becoming my day to cook dinner. I enjoy eating with chopsticks, so I'm doing an Asian-inspired kick for my recipes. If you enjoyed my Lamb recipe, you're sure to love this one! My mom wasn't sure about me adding cinnamon and was pleasantly surprised.

Serves 4
Ingredients
1 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Thyme
1/2 tsp Basil
1/4 tsp Cinnamon
1 Clove Of Garlic, minced
1 pound Ground Beef
2 TBS ELVOO (Extra Light Virgin Olive Oil)
2 tsp blackstrap molasses
1 TBS maple syrup
1 Spring Onion, chopped
2 cups Green Beans
4 cups cooked Rice
Directions
Mix together 1/2 tsp salt, thyme, basil, cinnamon, garlic & beef.
Heat pan to medium-high heat.
Add 1 TBS oil to pan and let warm.
Add Beef & let cook for a couple minutes moving it constantly to keep from sticking & burning.
When done cooking put on plate so you can cook greens.
Add 1 TBS oil, molasses & maple syrup to pan. When blended add in greens & salt for 3-5 minutes depending on desired doneness.
Serve over a bed of rice.
Enjoy!
My mom sautéed mushrooms with molasses, maple syrup & salt to add to hers & loved it. She said it had a candied finish. I'm a fungi, so I tasted them, but I'm still not gonna eat something that taste like dirt!
