Instant Pot Stuffed Fig Leaves

Season to Harvest: Spring/Summer

Yield: 4-6 servings


  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 18-22 fig leaves

  • 1/2 cup fresh edibles, chopped

We used cleavers, chocolate mint, vetch, clover, plantain & wild onion.


  1. Chop edibles & mix into beef. Set aside.

  2. Lay out a fig leaf, roll, tie off with cooking twine & stuff. Follow diagram below. Repeat until all leaves are stuffed.

  3. Add 1 cup water to Instant Pot & place a steamer in it.

  4. Place a single layer of wrapped leaves in a circle around center of steamer with the tied ends pointing to the center.

  5. Close lid & use steam setting for 3 minutes under pressure. At the end of steam time, release the pressure valve to release pressure.

  6. Take cooked wraps out, cut twine & set aside.

  7. Repeat steps 4 - 6 until all wraps are cooked.

Serve & enjoy!
